104th General Assembly Bill Tracking & Updates

The Illinois ASBO Government Relations team offers a bill tracking tool that includes all education-related legislation in the 104th General Assembly. Bills are organized into key categories—Curriculum & Programming, EBF & School Funding, Employment & Benefits, School Finance & Revenue and Miscellaneous—so members can easily find topics of interest. The tracker is updated regularly throughout session to reflect new bills and status changes, providing timely, reliable information to support your advocacy efforts. Please feel free to contact Emily Warnecke with any information you believe may be valuable to their advocacy efforts around any of the bills listed in the tracker.

District Reporting Requirements for Vendors & Subcontractors

35 ILCS 200/18-50.2 mandates specified taxing districts, including both home rule and non-home rule municipalities, to make a good faith effort to collect and publish certain demographic information provided by vendors and subcontractors doing business with the taxing district.

Specifically, all school districts that have an annual property tax levy of more than $5 million are required to make a good faith effort to collect information as to whether the vendor or subcontractor is a minority, women or veteran-owned business.
