Mr. Anderson has served as the proud Building and Project Manager for Proviso Township High School District 209 for over one decade. Passionate about creating 21st-century schools that are well designed to meet the needs of diverse learners Ron has served as a Board Member for Bellwood School District 88. Mr. Anderson’s passion for computers and technology lead him toward pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Information Systems (CIS) from DeVry University. With a love for education and learning, he has obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the prestigious Keller Graduate School of Management and also possesses a Master’s in Project Management (MPM). He holds a plethora of certifications including but not limited to… Certified Professional Maintenance Manager (CPMM), Certified Plant Supervisor (CPS), Certified Health and Life Safety Building Inspector, (IASBO) Facilities Operations Certificate, Certified Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Instructor (CPI), and Certified Local Education Agency Designated Agent (LEA). Mr. Anderson is a very active member of several organizations. Currently, he is an active member of the West 40 Facilities Managers Group, Illinois Association of School Business Officials (IASBO), Planning & Construction Professional Development Committee, Association for Facility Engineers (AFE), National Facilities Management & Technology (NFMT), and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.

Barry retired from Township High School District #113 after 14 years as the Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Facilities, Operations and Transportation.  Barry also served many roles in his 33 years as an educator including Teacher, Dean of Students, Director of Technology and Assistant Principal as well as coaching 5 different athletic teams over 20 years.  Barry currently works with IASBO with their professional development team serving the needs of others in the area of Business services for school districts.

Pat’s professional experience and personal interest in the educational field have provided him with the unique ability to recognize the needs and concerns of K-12 students, faculty, administrators and parents, and translate those needs into successful design solutions. Throughout Pat’s 27-year career, he has concentrated his efforts on the planning and design of educational facilities. Pat’s leadership is informed by partnerships that broaden thinking and create new ideas to enhance the student environment. This includes sustainable ways to support student learning with capital infrastructure projects. Complex renovation projects are his forte; with an emphasis on green technologies, such as geothermal, solar and LED lighting. Pat has worked closely with SEDAC, DECO, ComEd, Energy Star and Illinois Geothermal Alliance to help secure resources and funding to help Illinois School Districts. This has allowed districts to achieve energy efficient solutions that save operational expenses.

Ryan Doyle has worked with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. for over nine years, and works solely in the Public Sector.  As Area Assistant Vice President, Ryan works with multiple public school districts, municipalities, public charter school and private schools across the nation.

Ryan and his team specialize in developing and implementing customized insurance solutions exclusive for his clients.  These insurance solutions include traditional insurance programs, national group purchasing programs, insurance cooperatives/pools and protected self-insurance.  These arrangements provide his clients significant coverage enhancements and control over their insurance programs long term. 

Ryan has strong relationships with a wide array of public section insurance carriers.  He has also built a strong network of school board members and business managers through his career and IASBO membership.  Ryan has been a member of IASBO for five years, and has an Insurance and Risk Management degree from Illinois State University.

Before joining the IMS team, Rob was an entrepreneur for over 30 years where he sold products and services and managed large consulting and service operations. Rob is a USAF Veteran and received over 200 hours of formal military technical and leadership training while supporting the AWACS E-A Surveillance aircraft for TAC Command. Rob holds an Associate Degree in Engineering Technologies and Business Administration from Community College of the Air Force and Rose State College. He resides in Montgomery, Illinois with his wife and has three grown children and two granddaughters.

He has developed project specifications for asbestos abatement and mold remediation for office buildings, schools, hotels and industrial and food processing facilities. He has supervised hundreds of asbestos abatement projects and several demolition/abatement projects. He has inspected buildings for asbestos-containing materials, mold contamination, water infiltration, and other hazardous materials, such as lead-based paint, CFC’s, PCB’s, and mercury.

Angela Smith is the Chief School Business Official and Assistant Superintendent for Operations for the West Aurora School District.  She is responsible for finance, purchasing, transportation, technology, construction, food service and all other operations functions for the district.  She has worked for the district since June of 2014.  Prior to her time in West Aurora, she was the Assistant Superintendent for Finance for the Plainfield School District and the Director of Business Services for the Oswego School District #308.  Mrs. Smith also spent seven years as a Board of Education Member.  Mrs. Smith has a B.S. in Finance from Northern Illinois University, an MBA from Columbia College and has completed her coursework and  is currently working on her dissertation through Aurora University.

With over 37 years of School Facility Management experience, Gary continues to bring professional development to all types/levels of facilities groups.  He is very active in mentoring, networking and researching those things which involve facilities management.  Gary was a director of Physical Plant and Director of Buildings and Grounds for 33 Years.

Professional Development includes Chair / Facilities Management Designation Program (8), and Chair for the Maintenance and Operation Committee (9). He received the Lighthouse Award in 2012 for his improvements to these programs. Gary also provides Life Safety Surveys for Cook County / State of Illinois. Active member in IASBO and WASBO, USGBC and has helped start multiple facility regional networking groups.

He currently brings architectural services (working at DLA Architects) to those needing those much needed services. He has been an advocate for Long Range Facility Plans over the past 30 years, and has written on the subjects of Energy Savings and Facility Management.

In 2012, he led Adlai Stevenson High School to become the 1st and only LEED-EB Gold Certified High School in the country. Currently, he is working with SunPeak Solar and doing energy education.
