Features nine different sessions devoted to the most important areas of Illinois School District debt issuance. By the end of the seminar, you will attain an understanding of the types of debt available, differences between a competitive and negotiated bond sale, bond rating criteria and how to prepare for a rating agency presentation, legal matters, common pitfalls during the issuance process and current market environment.



Developing and Delivering High Impact Presentations - AAC #1906

Wanting to improve your development and delivery of your presentations? Through persuasion, storytelling and influencer techniques you can impact your communication and presentation skills. You will deliver a short presentation to the class, receiving feedback prior to analyzing effective presentation techniques. Then develop a second short presentation based on what you learned and receive feedback to enhance your presentation skills.



Seminar on School Finance - AAC #1062

This course has been designed for school business managers and superintendents. The content will include property taxes and completion of the tax levy.  Key elements of the Evidence Based Funding Formula computations will be reviewed. The school district budget and the annual financial report will be taught and then used as a basis for discussing the preparation of multi-year financial and capital projections.
