Micro-credential: Managing the Budget Cycle

02-22-2022 16:02

The Managing the Budget Cycle micro-credential is presented from Illinois Association of School Business Officials through the online professional development platform, Illinois ASBOnline. Practitioners who participate can use this micro-credential process as a way to demonstrate their existing competency in this area in order to showcase their skills while earning a badge for their online social networks or signatures.

Course description can be found below. Please note that at this time, Managing the Budget Cycle is in a Beta format so Illinois Association of School Business Officials will only be able to offer PD Credit Hours. We will update this registration when we are able to offer other credit types.

Managing the Budget Cycle is a standalone micro-credential in a series of micro-credentials offered by Illinois Association of School Business Officials (Illinois ASBO). The Managing the Budget Cycle micro-credential requires the practitioner confirm competencies and demonstrate a detailed understanding of budget management as it relates to the revenue streams, expenditures, cash flow, and communication. The practitioner will confidently have the skills to understand and create functional timelines and tasks for the budget cycle, which are key components for all who work with school finance.
